Shuttered Hearts

A return to hometown, small-town romance about a closed-off photographer and her brother’s quiet best friend…

I never planned on returning home for more than a brief visit, but one phone call changes everything.

Ten years is a long time to avoid being home for an extended period of time. It has nothing to do with my family and everything to do with the memories of a long-gone childhood. But not even that could keep me from being there for my dad and brothers as we tackle one of the hardest obstacles we’ve ever faced.

Taking a job as the high school photography teacher felt like a good choice—I’d never be able to sit at home doing nothing day in and day out. Learning that the reserved, glasses-wearing art teacher in the classroom next door is also my brother’s best friend and close with my dad wasn’t on my bingo card, but that has to be where the surprises stop, right?

It’s only a year. What’s the worst that could happen?

Shuttered Hearts is book one in the Love in Ashford Falls series. Each book in this small-town series is a standalone and ends in a happily ever after.
